So, you want to be on TV Then you have a BIG problem!

So what is the first thing you discovered when you started looking for showreels to get you into the TV business?
It was probably the fact that there is a lot of choice out there, right? Some people offer expensive TV studios with expensive price tags. Some offer cheap prices with someone who has never been in the industry. So what do you really need? I mean YOU.....what do YOU really need?
Producers ultimately are looking for just one thing. They want to know that you can do the job they are trying to fill. That could be a children’s TV presenter, it could be a news presenter or studio based reporter. The best way to catch their eye is to create a showreel that looks like you’ve done it before and shows that you understand the style and format they are looking for.
The problem is, getting “that look” can cost a lot of money. There are studio days on offer but they are very expensive and you’ll find yourself fighting with other people for literally a few minutes of studio time. So is there an alternative?

RAPIDE -
For people who need a showreel for Friday this week (or any other day!). If there
is space in an evening or any other slot, then lets give it a go. You are probably
feeling the pressure so we’ll have scripts for you. Turn up, present and go home
with a showreel. Includes 1-
Standard Showreel (TV Presenter or News Reader) -
Includes time to talk about your career goals and to relax. Prepare your own scripts tailored to your voice and style. Includes filming, editing of material filmed on the day and 2 DVD’s (1 data disc to use on a computer, 1 video disc that goes in a DVD player). A standard library bluescreen background. All the time you need plus hints and help included on the day.
EXTRAS
Mix in your own footage
£20/hour (minimum of £20) . Many people have existing footage they want to mix into a showreel. Bring it on a copyright free DVD (as a data file) and it can be mixed in. This price is based on you filming a standard bluescreen showreel first. It’s not a standalone product, sorry.
